In a notable development in the field of commerce education, Swarup Saha, a faculty member of the Department of Commerce at Maharaja Srischandra College, has entered the domain of edupreneurship with the launch of Commerce Capsule Publications, a new-age academic venture aimed at bridging the long-standing gap between theoretical knowledge and practical industry requirements. The initiative is built around an innovative “Capsule Learning Model,” which seeks to deliver concise, structured, and application-oriented content across core areas of commerce such as taxation, finance, marketing, and entrepreneurship, making complex subjects more accessible and relevant for modern learners.

The publication house has already made a significant mark with the successful launch of its Bengali GST guide “GST er Sohoj Path”, co-authored by CA Supriyo Datta. The book, designed for a wide readership including students, professionals, and small business owners, has received encouraging response across online platforms and the regional book market for its simplified approach and practical orientation. Academic observers note that the early success of this publication reflects a growing demand for vernacular, application-based learning resources in commerce education.

According to Prof. Saha, the objective behind Commerce Capsule Publications is not limited to traditional publishing but extends towards creating a comprehensive learning ecosystem that aligns academic curriculum with real-world business practices. The initiative aims to cater to undergraduate and postgraduate students, educators, aspiring corporate professionals, and entrepreneurs by equipping them with both conceptual clarity and practical insights, thereby enhancing employability and professional readiness.

In line with this broader vision, Prof. Saha has also announced plans to launch a dedicated mobile application, Commerce Capsule, which is expected to further strengthen the reach and impact of the initiative. The proposed app will feature capsule-based micro-learning modules, interactive video lectures, real-life case studies, exam-oriented preparation tools, and career-focused content, enabling students to access quality learning resources anytime and anywhere.

Education experts and industry observers have described the dual approach of combining academic publishing with a technology-driven platform as a timely and progressive step, particularly in the context of increasing emphasis on skill-based and outcome-oriented education. With positive response already emerging from academic circles in Kolkata and beyond, the initiative is being viewed as a potential benchmark in redefining commerce education—making it more practical, inclusive, and aligned with the evolving demands of the professional world.
