But during the pandemic, everything changed. Business slowed down, responsibilities stayed the same, and he also faced a deep personal loss when he lost his father during the COVID-19 period. It was a very difficult phase in his life, both emotionally and financially.
In that uncertain time, one small idea gave him hope. He started a cloud kitchen with just two sweets. There was no big team, no perfect setup, and no guarantee of success. He simply began with whatever he had. Every day, he would wake up at 4:00 in the morning to prepare sweets, test batches, and improve the quality. By 9:00 AM, he would go to his job, where he was earning around ₹2 lakh per month. But that income alone was not enough to handle all his commitments.
So he started living two lives at the same time. Between work meetings, he would answer customer calls. During short breaks, he would manage orders. After work, he would go out himself to deliver sweets, often till 11 at night and sometimes even later. Then after only a few hours of sleep, he would wake up again at 4:00 AM and repeat everything. This was not just hard work. This was survival. It was a phase where he kept going because he had no other option but to rebuild.
Even after the business became stable, Naveen made a bold decision. He left his ₹2 lakh monthly salary to give full focus to his own business. It was not an easy step, but he knew that if he wanted to build something big, he had to fully commit to it. That decision became a turning point in his life. What started as a small cloud kitchen slowly grew into Sweetsdude, and today it has become a ₹4 crore annual business with more than 300 corporate tie-ups and two retail outlets in Hyderabad.
Today, Sweetsdude serves snack boxes and Diwali gifting solutions to 300+ brands across South India.
